In recent years, the building materials industry in the Tibet Autonomous Region has focused on addressing pressing issues such as insufficient supply of cement and other building materials. Through coordinated planning, strategic spatial layout, and the implementation of key projects, it has effectively resolved regional and temporal imbalances between supply and demand. As a result, the industry’s system has been steadily refined, its capacity to ensure a stable supply of building materials has been significantly strengthened, and market needs have been largely met. Industry capacity, actual output, employment numbers, and economic performance have all grown substantially; overall social benefits have continued to improve; the sector’s role in driving and leading development has remained robust; and its supporting and service‑providing functions have been further consolidated.
